For the good of the neighborhood and good of the world
Our Projects
From here in our hometown of Cincinnati to as far away as Africa, we're helping to build a more sustainable, more peaceful world.
Organic Farming

In keeping with Becca's love of growing and the world's need of more sustainable food sources, the BEEPS Foundation funds a series of organic, self-sustaining local farms. These farms not only provide a reliable source of food, but also serve as a training ground for students and interns who then take their passions and skills on to other areas. BEEPS is currently in its third year of sponsoring interns at That Guy's Family Farm.
Becca's Gardens

Miami University homes two of Becca's gardens: one outside of Shideler Hall and one behind McGuffey Museum. Becca's Butterfly Gardens outside of Shideler Hall display beautiful native plantings that attract a variety of butterflies, and signage explains the importance of each plant and information about butterflies. The new garden behind McGuffey Museum is an edible garden with the purpose to educate the public about sustainable, native produce and plants.
The Tanzania Project

The BEEPS Foundation is partnering with several NGOs to help bring education, sanitation and gender equality to the Tanzanian village of Arusha. Becca spent a deeply rewarding summer teaching English at the Ngyeku Primary School and making some extraordinary friends. Let’s continue what she started.
Cleaner Water

We can live without burgers. We can live without pizza. One thing we cannot live without is clean drinking water. The BEEPS Foundation is actively working to ensure our water supply is cleaned up and stays pure for us and for future generations.
